Rumor has it that spring is coming. We “sprang ahead” (or is that sprung?) last weekend, and it was 50 degrees on last weekend. While it was warm (-ish), we decided to take a walk in the Betzwood Trailhead in Valley Forge National Park. Did you know that there used to be a film studio in West Norriton, PA? Me neither. You can learn more about it here.
It’s a long walk home from the beginning of the trail….
But there’s nothing like walking hand-in-hand on a moonlit day.
There’s still a fair bit of snow around….more than 5 feet in the Philadelphia area this winter.
The robins are supposed to herald impending spring. Hypothetically.
But the only green we saw was some algal growth.
For part of the trail, you can cross the river….right next to 422.
And the freight trains run right under the bridge.
Two young hawks, just hanging on a wire.
That 5′ of snow brought down a lot of trees.
And back to trail’s end.
Of course, the forecast is calling for more cold weather this week….
